I'd like to think I do a pretty decent job when it comes to baking but last night was a total failure. Pictured above are the lovely candy cane cookies I tried to make. My sister decided not to make them and since they used to be one of her favorites I thought I'd be a sweet little sister and make them. Like she pointed out, they look like big shrimps on a grill. What did I do wrong?! I didn't leave anything out but they're flatter than pancakes. Oh well, they still taste good. It will be interesting to see if everyone can overcome the ugliness and eat them. They don't exactly look appetizing to me!Merry Christmas Eve! No work for me today! Grandma's house at 1 today, Christmas Eve dinner at 5 and Christmas at my mom and dad's tomorrow. Can't believe it's already here! Here's to hoping the next 4 days go by slowly! We'll be going up to the in-law's on Saturday. It's going to be a busy weekend!
